Pro Bono Best Practices & Scoping Workshop
About the workshop.
90% of failed pro bono projects are due to the lack of a robust needs assessment or clear project objectives. Through the Pro Bono Best Practices & Scoping Workshop, our goal is to tackle this barrier of capacity-building pro bono and be sure you and your organization are set up for success in taking on a robust pro bono project.
This interactive workshop focuses on the best practices of pro bono and will also guide you through the creation of your own scope of work to help hone your needs, set expectations, and identify the right pro bono volunteer expertise.
Who.
The workshop is free for any nonprofit to attend and is best suited for organizations or nonprofit professionals who are new to utilizing pro bono or skills-based volunteers, want to drive staff/board/leadership buy-in of pro bono, or strengthen your scoping skillset. We recommend coming to the workshop prepared with an organizational challenge in mind that needs to be drilled down into a scope of work.
What.
We provide a thorough overview of the general principles of the pro bono process and best practices for each phase.
Additionally, we review free resources and tools to guide you through the scoping process and provide you time to start crafting your own scope of work with support from nonprofit capacity-building experts.
When.
Thanks to all the nonprofits who participated in our virtual Nonprofit Scoping Workshop on June 16th. If you would like to get access to the recording and resources shared in this session, please reach out to Joy Altmann, Managing Director
