Corporate Partnerships

Who it is for: From local startups to global Fortune 500 companies, we partner with you to empower your employees to serve the community in a way that builds upon your corporate social responsibility and employee engagement goals, and meets the needs in our community.

What it is: Through our Corporate Projects Program, we tailor volunteer projects for your employees that make an impact in our communities. While working with a corporate partner, we take a fully customized, collaborative and community-centered approach to any volunteer project. You will be appointed a Project Planner who will work with you from ideation to execution, which includes leading volunteers day of the event (if applicable).

Volunteer projects can be implemented through hands-on, in-person volunteering; remote/virtual volunteering; or even a hybrid of the two for 15-1,000+ employee volunteers. Projects vary depending on community needs, your company’s goals, and your budget. We specialize in coordinating:

  • Volunteer Projects at Corporate Worksites or Community Locations

  • Day or Week of Service that provide multiple volunteer options for employees

  • Volunteer Projects for Conferences & Special Events

  • Project in a Box (at-home or in-person)

  • Customized Projects (Do you have a dream? Let’s see what we can do!)

Why it is important: The corporate sector represents a powerful force for change. When you invest volunteers, expertise, and financial resources, your corporation can strengthen communities and impact social change. Offering volunteer opportunities to your employees plays a key role in helping attract and retain talent. It also connects employees to the community and your corporate social responsibility efforts.

Corporate Partners include, but not limited to:

  • General Mills

  • Target

  • Boston Scientific

  • 3M

  • H.B. Fuller

  • Minnesota Vikings

Volunteer at Work

We bring volunteer projects to your worksite that employees can do through a quick, speed volunteer activity or a 1-2 hours volunteer event. We manage all supply procurement, partnership with nonprofit recipient, event and delivery logistics, and day of orientation with service learning. All you have to do is reserve a meeting space and promote the volunteer opportunity to your employees.

Volunteer in Community

These volunteer projects take employees outside their worksite and into the community. Opportunities may be filling in existing volunteer needs at nonprofits and/or helping with rejuvenation projects that the nonprofits have identified. Raking, painting, storage room reorganization, and planting gardens are just some examples. Rejuvenation projects are scoped and managed by HandsOn Twin Cities.

Project in a Box

We work with you to craft a hands-on project that can be delivered, opened, and completed by your employees wherever they are (office or home). Each box contains the project supplies and instructions for the individual or group to complete the volunteer project. Available to anyone, but an ideal option to collectively volunteer for cross-country teams and companies with various facilities.

Day or Week of Service

We coordinate multiple projects within the day or week for employee volunteers to choose from. We staff all projects to ensure that each volunteer experience has consistency and feels like a part of the larger day or week. We can also plan transportation, meals, and registration if you prefer.

Meetings & Special Events

Incorporating a volunteer project to your meeting, conference, or special event is a great opportunity to help the community and engage participants with each other. We will help lift the load by planning a volunteer activation for your attendees to enjoy.
